The future home of shishalh Centre:
A community between two waters.
In the growing, thriving and demographically evolving community of the Sunshine Coast, the shishalh Centre sits at midfield. The Centre rests on a 7 acre property adjacent to the full service shishalh I Sechelt Hospital, in the highest population centre of the coast.
ʻAbove and between two waters’ refers to the elevated property location, which looks toward the Sechelt Inlet on it’s Northeast, and the Salish Sea to its Southwest. The Centre will act as a cultural, retail and residential hub for all Coast communities, just as the Hospital currently acts with regard to healthcare.

The Sunshine Coast is a 180 kilometer strip of land framed by waters and the Coastal Mountain range, with a unique temperate climate that features some of the mildest weather in British Columbia. Just a 40 minute ferry from North Vancouver (or a 20 minute floatplane ride), the Coast has evolved and grown from a predominantly retirement and tourism oriented community into a thriving location for young families, entrepreneurs, artists and innovators.
The winding coastline, beautiful beaches, charming seaside towns backdropped by rugged Coastal and Caren Mountain Ranges act as a powerful draw to all those who prize nature, beauty, healthy adventure and outdoor living.

We are honored to present this project that will reside on the beautiful ancestral land of the shishalh nation.
